Dream Mirage (LSDjam demo)
A downloadable game for Windows
[ HEY, i left this demo up for the sake of posterity, full game's over here: https://tomthebastard.itch.io/dream-mirage ]
This is something I've wanted to make since i was 16, but i never knew how to even start with a project like this, so i always left it in the back of my mind.
But in 2021 i had some free time before starting uni, so i finally learned how to write code (extremely awful code, but code nonetheless). And now i have this!
But enough backstory, this is a little demo of the game I'm making where you can explore 3 maps; the city, an abandoned building and a weird museum.
So yeah, i hope you guys enjoy it.
Controls:
WADS - Movement
Shift - Run
Space - Jump
Caps Lock - Autorun
E / Left Click - Interact
Esc - Menu / Pause
PS:
I updated the demo to add dialogue to almost all NPCs in the game, a new map accessible from the city, plus a bunch of other small things.

This is a phenominal game, the bittersweet nostalgic vibes and surreal environments made me more emotional than I thought I would be. Also had a chuckle at some of the museum photos lol. Overall I love this and would be very happy to buy the final product! :)
the character trying to wake up when you go out of bounds it's genius
This is a really beautiful game. The atmosphere can be a little haunting but overall really great :)
Thanks man, i really appreciate it
This was a very nicely made project! I especially liked the use of real video in the beginning, just like LSD Dream Emulator. The Silent Hill music was a little unfitting in my opinion, but all the rest of the sound was nice. Keep up the great work!
kind feels like a first person earthbound like
I really enjoyed the game's artstyle and aesthetic.
Keep up the good work!
:D
Really cool style! I love the combination of sprites and 3D
Glad you liked it! At first i tried making them 3d, but i figured sprites would be more expressive, plus it saved a lot of time :P
